The Samsung Freestyle projector's 2023 model is currently up for pre-order on the company's website. The Freestyle Gen 2, which was unveiled at CES earlier this year, can project 1080p images onto your wall or ceiling and turn it into a screen that is between 30 and 100 inches in size.
The screen can be adjusted to the best position using the cradle stand's 180-degree rotation, and it has built-in 360-degree sound for immersive viewing.
Other Features of the Samsung New Freestyle Projector
When there are no outlets available, you can also connect the lightweight projector—which weighs less than two pounds and can be used both indoors and outdoors—to portable batteries with USB PD and 60W/20V output or higher. It also includes the SolarCell Remote from the company, which, as its name suggests, has a solar panel attached to it for convenient charging on the go.
The Freestyle Gen 2 provides access to the standard streaming apps, including the Samsung TV Plus service, just like any other smart TV. Although you can stream games from different providers using the Samsung Gaming Hub, you can also use it to play videos. You can easily access Samsung's streaming partners, such as Xbox Game Pass, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, and Utomik, through the Gaming Hub. The hub is free, but in order to access the games they have available, you must have a subscription to those services. You'll also need to use your own controller and connect it via Bluetooth since the projector doesn't come with one.
How to Pre-Order the Samsung Freestyle Projector
Pre-orders for the $800 Freestyle Gen 2 projector will be accepted up until August 30th, the day before it begins shipping. If you buy the device before it launches, you'll get a case for free.
