Next year, you might be participating in racing, committing heists, and stealing vehicles in Grand Theft Auto VI. Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, has released its yearly profits report and future outlook. And it appears that it is getting ready to publish initiatives that it thinks will help its "company achieve even greater levels of success."
The company projects $8 billion in net bookings, or the total amount of goods and services sold, for the fiscal year 2025 thanks to the games it will be producing. Although it didn't specifically mention those games, Take-Two has typically made the most money with the Grand Theft Auto brand.
According to IGN, Take-Two's Zynga acquisition helped the company's net bookings for the prior fiscal year increase to $5.3 billion. Prior to that, it was bringing in about $3 billion annually. A spike in net bookings of roughly $3 billion is significant, and unless Take-Two makes another sizable acquisition, GTA is the franchise that will help it meet that objective. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, was questioned by IGN about whether GTA 6 might be released as soon as next year, but the executive would neither confirm or reject the rumor.
In the company's press release, it states:
"Fiscal 2025 is a year that our company is eagerly anticipating, in the future. We have been setting up our company for the last few years to unleash an extraordinarily strong pipeline of projects that we think will propel our business to even greater heights of success. We anticipate ushering in this new era in Fiscal 2025 by releasing a number of ground-breaking titles that, in our opinion, will raise the bar for our sector and allow us to surpass $8 billion in Net Bookings and $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. Delivering even greater levels of operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond will help us maintain this momentum.
The April 2024 fiscal year for Take-Two begins and finishes on March 31st, 2025. Even if Rockstar doesn't release GTA 6 in 2024, it might do it in the first quarter of the following year. In conclusion, the wait for the game won't be too long. You probably already know what to anticipate because 90 videos of GTA 6 gameplay footage emerged in the latter part of last year. The videos, which Rockstar verified as legitimate, featured two playable protagonists, one of whom was a woman named Lucia, committing crimes in a fictitious Miami.
Grand Theft Auto VI is on the horizon, ready to blow your mind and transport you to a realm of excitement that knows no bounds. So gear up, gather your crew, and get ready to embark on a gaming journey that will leave you begging for an encore. Trust me, this is one game you won't want to miss!
