You can now make calls at very low varying discount rates on your favourite network Etisalat. Etisalat has introduced the Etisalat Talkzone to provide her subscribers with discount on calls depending on your location without any access fee. This post will take you on how to activate, deactivate the plan, how it works and the call rate for each percentage discount.
HOW IT WORKS
The discount ranges from 10-98% for calls within the network(i.e call to etisalat lines and 10-20% for calls to other networks. The discount applicable to your location is displayed as a percentage and below is an example of the applicable call rates
Discounts Call rate
98% 1k/secs
80% 10k/secs
70% 15k/secs
From the table above, whenever you see a 98% discount on your screen, it simply means that calls made from that location will be charged at a very low call rate of 1k/secs (How to know the discount for any location will be discussed as you read on.
HOW TO KNOW THE DISCOUNT APPLICABLE AT ANY LOCATION
You can know the discount applicable to your location in two different ways:
METHOD 1: Simply activate the cell broadcast feature in the message settings on your phone and you will start seeing the discount displaying on your phone screen. To activate the cell broadcast varies from phone to phone so i won;t be able to give a general step
METHOD 2: Always dial *551# before making a new call to get the discount applicable to that location.
HOW TO ACTIVATE ETISALAT TALK ZONE
To activate etisalat talk zone, simply dial *244*8# from your etisalat line and wait for confirmation.
HOW TO DE-ACTIVATE THE ETISALAT TALK ZONE
