'Pokémon Sleep' will finally be released this summer

It has been almost four years since Pokémon Sleep was first teased. It was revealed at today's Pokémon Presents event that the game will release this summer. It was was scheduled to make its debut in 2020.

Your sleep is tracked by Pokémon Sleep, a smartphone game created by Select Button for Pokémon: Magikarp Jump. It includes Professor Neroli, a Pokémon sleep expert, and Snorlax (of course). When you go to bed, the plan is to leave your phone nearby.

Your sleep will be analyzed by the app, which will classify it as either napping, snoozing, or slumbering. Pokémon that have a propensity for similar sleeping patterns will congregate around Snorlax. The longer you play, the more likely it is that you'll discover uncommon sleep patterns for certain Pokémon. Pikachu, in particular, looks quite adorable with his ears down.

A new version of Pokémon Go Plus +, a physical gadget that connects to both Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon Go, was also released by The Pokémon Company. In order to track your sleep data with the former, simply press the button before bed and again when you wake up. This eliminates the need to have your phone close by. In addition to a Pikachu voice that can sing lullabies, there is an alarm incorporated within the device.

You can utilize the disc-shaped Pokémon Go Plus + when you're out and about to automatically spin PokéStops and hurl Poké Balls in Pokémon Go without even having to tap the device's button. The ability to use your sleep data in Pokémon Go will eventually be available.

The Pokémon Go Plus + is the sequel to the 2016 releases of the Poké Ball Plus and the original Pokémon Go Plus. It will be offered on July 14th for $55, which is nearly the same price as a new mainstream Pokémon game for the Switch. When you connect it to Pokémon Go, you can look for a cute Snorlax wearing a nightcap while you're out searching for Pokémon.
